February Book Haul
Hello Readers,
I know it doesn’t seem that long ago since my January book haul, but I have acquired a few more books for my Yearly TBR. My excuse, not that I need one, is that a couple of these books are going to be the Buddy Read Books for the Book Club I run and so I wanted to grab them along with a few others that I’ve been meaning to get.
So without further ado, here’s the books I purchased this month:
Health Update ~ New Diagnosis
Hello Readers,
I thought long and hard about writing about this, especially as I’ve said I’m taking a break from all the Chronic Illness related articles this year. But I cannot ignore the fact that I began this blog to share my experience of long term illness and when I first started blogging, all those many years ago, I actually wrote about the beginnings of this health condition. So, I feel it’s only right to acknowledge this moving forward and have some measure of closure around it.
But before I dive into the diagnosis, I feel I should give a little bit of background…

January Book Haul
Hello Readers,
Since I’ve added a few books to my bookshelves recently and subsequently my TBR for the year, I thought I’d share them with you. Even though I’ve titled this as “January Book Haul”, there not be a haul for each month but I think doing it this way will be a nice way of tracking how long I’ve owned the books before I decide to read them. Also I’ve added in three books that I ordered at the end of December as I received them in January…

The Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson {Book Review}

Goodbye 2021 ~ Changes are Coming
Hello friends,
2021 is finally coming to a close; it both feels like its been a long year and yet flown by…this year for me personally, has been very up and down and it’s ending more on a down than an up.

This Vicious Cure by Emily Suvada ~ Book Review
Hello friends,
Last week I reposted my review of the first two books in the This Mortal Coil series by Emily Suvada and today I’m sharing my review on the final book. Just a reminder that if you’re thinking of picking up this series, it does feature quite heavily a deadly virus that’s spreading throughout the world. Some of you might find that difficult reading while we’re living through a pandemic.
But if you’re someone who doesn't mind reading about that durigin this time, then this might be the series for you.
So let’s get into the review…

November Bookish Wrap Up / December TBR
Hello friends,

November was a quiet reading month as well as I read two books this past month. So instead of this being a really short wrap up, I thought I’d include my December TBR at the end.

Dune by Frank Herbert {book review}
Hello friends,
Doesn’t it just feel like everyone is talking about Dune at the moment ~ both the book and the latest film? Well since I recently finished reading the book, I’d thought I’d jump on the Dune hype train and write a review and share my thoughts. I’ll do my best to make this a spoiler free as possible, though there will likely be vague spoilerly hints at certain things. So grab a beverage of your choice, maybe a snack and let me tell you about one of my new favourite books!

Despite the fact that I was hosting my Book Club’s One Year Anniversary Readathon, personally this month was a bit up and down and that definitely had an impact on my reading…
But don’t worry because audiobooks have been my saving grace, so here’s what I’ve been listening to along with the only book I physically read this month:
