A New Series ~ Cedar Cove

Hello Friends,

This is just a short post today as I wanted to share with you all that I’ve decided to start a new story series called Cedar Cove. So grab yourself a cuppa {or other beverage of your choice} and let me tell you all about it…

Over the years of playing Animal Crossing, I’ve often thought it would be fun to write little stories about the towns I’ve created and the residents within them. But for one reason or another, I’ve never done it… until now!

This past week, I started a new Animal Crossing New Horizons Island and as I sat contemplating what I wanted for this island; did I really want another little Lo or was this an opportunity to try something really different from my other islands? The more I thought about it, the more I began to feel that this was finally an opportunity to write a story based around this new island.

So I’ve created my main character, who I’ve called Rue {no last name yet} and I’m ironing out the details of her back story right now but I’ve already decided that she is caucasian, has red hair and grey eyes. Rue grew up in the town of Nu Lantis {one of my New Leaf towns} She’s a Journalist looking for a fresh start, especially after her best friend, Cyra, moved away last year to work as a Librarian on an island called Hessa. So Rue has decided to take the leap and has taken a new job with Nook Inc, to run the Cedar Cove Newspaper ~ though she wasn’t told that first she’d have to help turn a deserted Island into an liveable town first.

ID: Louise’s Animal Crossing character named Rue. She is stood in front of a tent, next to a campfire and a wash tub.

Each chapter will be published in full on this website in a new section called Cedar Cove. I’ll also be posting an excerpt of each chapter on my gaming Instagram, @cosygamer_lo so if you want to read the story of Cedar Cove and Rue’s life there, make sure you’re following that account, so you’ll know then a new chapter is ready for you to read. I’m hoping I’ll be able to have a new chapter up every couple of weeks, health and circumstance permitting of course, but I’m currently working on the first chapter and I’m really looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Stay Safe.
