Favourite Books of 2023
Hello Readers,
…From the 70 books I’ve read this year, the ones that made the list were the ones that stood out to me from all the rest. The ones which grabbed me from page one, pulled me into their worlds and stayed with me long after I finished them.
From these 12, it’s difficult to pick which one is my absolute favourite because they are all so different. I love each and every one of them for the author’s writing style, their characters, their plots and the worlds they have built and chosen to share…
Blind Date With a Book | TBR Challenge
Hello Readers,
I love the concept of a “blind date with a book”. I see them often to buy when browsing Etsy but I’m always hesitant as even within the genre’s I love to read, I’m still quite picky about what I like.
So instead of setting specific reading goals for 2023, I’ve decided to do my own version of a “blind date with a book”. I’ve purchased 12 books from my BookShop.org wishlist that I’ve been wanting to read and I decided to ask a family member to wrap and label them ~ one for each month of the year.

Okay, so here’s all the books I’ve purchased during June…
June Bookish Wrap Up
Hello Readers,
I just don’t know where the months seem to be going because it feels like it wasn’t that long ago when I sat down to write my May Wrap Up!
Compared to last month, I didn’t read as much but I did pick up one of the chonkier {it’s a word} books on my TBR and read that this month, so that’s like reading two of three “normal” length books as it’s just over 600 pages. So without further ado, let me tell you about the books I’ve managed to read during June…
The Library Book by Susan Orlean {Book Review}
Hello Readers,
The Library Book by Susan Orlean was my book clubs Buddy Read Book for May and I enjoyed it so much that I thought I’d write a full review for it as I think some you might find it interesting too…
…the title caught my attention and then the synopsis hooked me in because, as with many readers, frequent visits to my local library is where my love of books and reading comes from…

March / April Book Haul
Hello Readers,
I realised I haven’t written a book haul since February and well…
I’ve added a few books to my TBR cart / shelf since then, some of which I have already read ~ the ones I’ve read, I won’t be sharing too much detail on as they’ll be in my wrap up next week. But, I thought I’d share what I’ve picked up in case you’re looking for a new read.
March Bookish Wrap Up
Hello Readers,
I know I’m a week late with this wrap up but things have been a little everywhere over these past few weeks. But I’m hoping things are finally starting to settle down and my normal writing schedule will be back in the next week or so.
Okay, let’s review all the books I’ve managed to read during March shall we?
February Bookish Wrap Up
Hello Readers,
I hope your February went as well as possible. I know there’s a lot going on in the world right now and I feel like a wrap up of the books I’ve read during the past month seems really insignificant compared to the everything. But as always, I want my little space on the Internet to be a safe, cosy place that you can come to for a little bit of a breather and hopefully find a new book to escape into when the world gets too much for you. I just really hope you’re all taking care and keeping safe.
As for this month regards to reading, I started four books, DNF’d one of them and finished the other three. So without further ado, let me tell you about them…
World Book Day 2022
Happy World Book Day Readers!
Some books just become favourites from the moment you read the first few words or chapters. They are the books that you want to restart when you’ve turned the last page…
January Book Haul
Hello Readers,
Since I’ve added a few books to my bookshelves recently and subsequently my TBR for the year, I thought I’d share them with you. Even though I’ve titled this as “January Book Haul”, there not be a haul for each month but I think doing it this way will be a nice way of tracking how long I’ve owned the books before I decide to read them. Also I’ve added in three books that I ordered at the end of December as I received them in January…

2021 is finally coming to a close; it both feels like its been a long year and yet flown by…this year for me personally, has been very up and down and it’s ending more on a down than an up.
This has lead me to think a lot about the content of this space and my social media…
November Bookish Wrap Up / December TBR
Hello friends,
It seems like it’s been a while since I did a Bookish Wrap Up since I missed October ~ I only read Dune that month and I wrote a full review on it here, in case you missed it. November was a quiet reading month as well as I read two books this past month. So instead of this being a really short wrap up, I thought I’d include my December TBR at the end.
So let’s get into the books…
